Hinterland Drive

Limited Edition Photographic Series

The Hinterland Drive series captures the sublime landscapes that unfold between Arthurs Seat on the Mornington Peninsula and the coastal shores of Flinders and Shoreham. This collection presents a contemplative journey through Victoria's hinterland—a terrain both familiar and extraordinary, revealed through the lens of intimate observation.

These photographs transcend mere documentation, offering instead a meditation on place and time. Each image represents a moment of convergence between light, landscape, and the photographer's vision—capturing the ephemeral beauty that emerges when one truly inhabits a place.

The series chronicles the subtle transformations that occur across seasons and hours, where the interplay of natural light creates an ever-changing dialogue with the land. Two companion pieces, captured within fifteen minutes of each other at Shoreham's shoreline, exemplify how fleeting moments can yield profound variations in mood and atmosphere.

Born from years of patient exploration and deep familiarity with this region, these works reveal the extraordinary within the everyday. When one becomes truly attuned to a landscape, it reveals itself in new light—offering glimpses of the sublime that exist beyond casual observation.

Each photograph is available as a limited edition print, produced using archival pigment inks on premium matte paper. Framed works are presented in conservation-grade frames with UltraVue UV70 non-reflective glazing for optimal viewing and preservation.
